Wind-turbine monitoring in the Nancy region

Under Article 12 of the ICPE (Installation listed for the protection of the environment) regime, we carried out the post-installation monitoring of the wind farm over 5 complete years.  The farm, comprising 10 wind turbines, is located in the Haute-Marne (52). Those 5 years of monitoring will enable an assessment of the wind farm’s impact and, if necessary, the definition of measures to reduce mortality risks for avifauna and chiroptera.

Monitoring of the mortality of avifauna and bats was done during the first two years, while the monitoring of the behaviour of breeding birds, heritage birds of prey and bats on the site was done every year.  Migrating and wintering avifauna were also the subject of observations
